Does Cala qualify? Yes. Cala is ENERGY STAR certified, has a capacity below the program’s 120-gallon limit and meets the New England Heat Pump Accelerator"s equipment requirements. Cala is also an enrolled distributor in the program.
This incentive:
- Is available regardless of utility provider or existing fuel type
- Applies to existing single-family and multifamily residential properties
- Requires an ENERGY STAR-certified unit with a capacity of no more than 120 gallons
- Is limited to one heat pump water heater incentive per qualifying dwelling unit
- Must be applied by Cala, as the enrolled distributor, when selling the equipment to a licensed contractor
The savings should be reflected in the contractor’s pricing or invoice for the homeowner. The program is scheduled to run through 2029, subject to its terms and available funding.
